LausGroup’s Hyundai dealerships bagged International Award

Another highly notable achievement is added to the LausGroup’s long list of recognitions as Reggie L. Ramos (Hyundai Dagupan’s Senior Technician) and Gilbert L. Durna (Chief Technician of Hyundai Balintawak) captured the Excellent Skill Award at the 7th Hyundai Motor Company World Skills Olympics held last October 31-November 2, 2007 in Korea.

Forty-five countries, 70 technicians, and 38 supervisors participated for the highly-coveted Hyundai’s international competition. The participants tested their technical competency with a set of written exam and technical applications that includes Body Electrical, Automatic transmission, Manual transmission, Field Fix and Engine trouble shooting.

The Skill Excellent Awards is the 2nd highest categorical award given during the World Skills Olympics. Only ten participants were given such remarkable distinction along with other countries including Belgium, Denmark, France, Japan, among others.

Ramos and Durna were the Hyundai Philippines official delegates after bagging first and second place respectively at the Hyundai Philippines National Skills Olympics slated last December 6, 2006.
