Carworld, the LausGroup's flagship company, which was founded in 1978, started out with only five employees. This is the first business venture of Levy P. Laus, Chairman and founder of the LausGroup. Carworld, which operates with the slogan “Driven to Serve”, began as an allied dealer of different automobile brands housed in a small showroom situated in San Agustin, San Fernando, Pampanga.

In 1986, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation combined its name into its franchised dealer and became Mitsubishi-Carworld, Inc., which marked a fruitful partnership with the Japanese automotive giant.

Today, the Carworld showroom along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in the City of San Fernando is considered to be one of the largest Mitsubishi showrooms in Asia.
