CAGI names Chevrolet Cruze Philippine Car of the Year
PASAY CITY - The wait is finally over for more than 80,000 car enthusiasts who graced the 7th Manila International Auto Show on April 7, as the Chevrolet Cruze was named Car of the Year by the Car Awards Group (CAGI) during the awards night for the COTY held at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC).
According to TOPGEAR (topgear.com.ph), the Chevrolet Cruze bested the other five finalists: the Subaru Impreza, Jaguar XF, Mitubishi ASX, and Hyundai Sonata. Weeks of testing and deliberation had been carefully conducted by CAGI before the judges reached the most-awaited decision.
CAGI President Ferman Lao said, "If you think about it, at its price point, it really has a lot to offer."
He further cited Chevrolet Cruze's affordability and its features as its winning factors. However, although he admits that the Cruze isn't the fastest car in the group and not the most technologically-advanced vehicle in the country, CAGI's decision to accord it the COTY recognition was heavily dependent on the consumers; the Cruze received the judges' thumbs-up for the value it offers. The Chevrolet Cruze is available at Chevrolet Pampanga for Chevy aficionados who truly appreciate the value of loving a Chevy.
