CLTV36 reaped the first-ever Golden Dove Award for Best TV Station (Provincial) in the recently concluded 20th Golden Dove Awards held by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) on October 26 at the Star Theatre, Star City Complex, Pasay City.
Notable fact is that despite CLTV36’s “youth” in the provincial media scene, it already has a Golden Dove Award for Best TV Station to its name. This further affirms the TV station’s quality programming and commendable broadcast standards.
CLTV36 bested other nominees for best Provincial TV Station namely Channel 4 ABS-CBN Bacolod and TV5 PBN Network Naga City.
CLTV36 also brought home the Golden Dove Award for Best in Public Affairs Program-Provincial category for one of its programs, “So To Speak”. Meanwhile, RW95.1FM, CLTV36’s affiliate company at the Central Luzon Broadcasting Corporation, was hailed as Best Provincial FM Station.

In his acceptance speech, CLTV36 Deputy General Manager Billy San Juan thanked KBP for giving due recognition to an independent TV station in the province. He further expressed gratitude for the creation of the Best Provincial TV Station category (first time in the two decades of KBP’s Golden Dove as an award giving body), for it gives independent TV stations in the province a chance.
In his statement while holding the Golden Dove award, San Juan quipped, “… sa mga tumatangkilik na aming mga ka-rehiyon, atin ‘to!”
