Carworld at 33: 'Always Driven to Serve'

Driven to Serve

   Symbol of Growth

SYMBOL OF GROWTH. The Carworld building and showroom along Jose Abad Santos Avenue has become a symbol of growth.

City of San Fernando-"Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. And such are the results that we have been able to achieve together as a team and as corporate family over the past 33 years."

So said Carworld, Inc. president Franco De Jesus during the simple rites commemorating the firm's 33 years in the automotive business, primarily bannering Mitsubishi Motors. "When Carworld began in 1978 as a start up automobile business located beside a railroad, it was humility, patience, hard work and perseverance that served as our strength and fueled us to keep moving forward. We were idealists who believed these virtues are the ingredients that were key to building success in the future years."

De Jesus furthered: "They are our key fundamental ingredients today, 33 years later. These ideals are the ones that remained constant. While many of our colleagues through the years had taken their turns in keeping the business growing...while political and economic crises had taken turns up and down to pose challenges to our growing industry...while Mother Nature has taken its own course to change our way of life, the living idealism and philosophies of Carworld has remained steadfast to withstand the challenge of change.

Today, De Jesus told Sun.Star Pampanga, Carworld has become---as the flagship of the Laus Group of Companies (LGC)---the biggest and leading automotive dealership in the country.

"From our humble beginnings were planted the seeds of what we have become now. We have branches in Bulacan, Tarlac, Subic and soon many more up north. Born were 29 companies and 11 brands we took. For this, we thank our loyal customers who have been with us for the past 33 years. As a catalyst of growth, we continue to be driven to serve," he said.

LGC and LausAutoGroup chairman and chief executive officer agrees: "Because we have those virtues like honesty, integrity, discipline, social skills of a 1,200 strong organization, support and hard work, we were able to respond to our providential mandate of serving our customers. It is this relevance of Carworld to greater society that we became a conglomerate, starting out small in a railroad track often shaken by passing trains. But these 33 years is a salute to our people for responding well to challenges of growth and the needs of our customers."

"We thank the Lord for all his blessings as we share these through our corporate social responsibility affairs. We will continue to expand and provide people with products and services that are unquestionable and beyond compare," added Laus.

The celebration was preceded by a Holy Mass officiated by Fr. Ditto Gueco of the Salesians of Don Bosco, and was succeeded by simple brunch in honor of the men and women of Carworld, Inc. and in keeping with the times.
