Ford Group Philippines (FGP) reported overall April sales for Ford brand vehicles that rose 23 percent from the same month last year to 764 units. Ford's robust performance in April was led by the continued strength of demand for the all-new Ford Fiesta and popular Ford Everest SUV.

The globally award-winning Fiesta, which continued to enjoy strong demand from an increasing number of new-to-Ford customers, delivered April sales of 283 units. The Fiesta added another prestigious accolade in April to its growing worldwide collection by being named 'Best Sub-Compact' in the 2011 Philippine Car of the Year Awards.

"The new Fiesta is increasingly being recognized as one of the clear leaders in the highly competitive B-segment -- both by Filipino customers who are continuing to drive strong sales of this fantastic car, as well as respected independent parties who are endorsing the Fiesta with things like the Car of the Year award," said Randy Krieger, president of Ford Group Philippines.

Ford's April performance was also supported by strong contribution from the Ford Everest with sales of 227 units. Year-to-date sales of the consistently performing Everest have climbed 36 percent from a year ago to 946 units.

Overall sales of Ford-brand vehicles in the Philippines through the first four months of the year have risen an impressive 58 percent versus the same period a year ago to 3,151 vehicles.

"The success of Fiesta is continuing to drive our sales gains this year, but it's also being supported by solid performances across our entire lineup of Ford vehicles. We're determined to continue building on this success, and further expanding our customer opportunity with attractive promotions like our current 'Drive One' campaign in showrooms nationwide," explained Krieger.

Enhanced customer service experience

FGP has also continued to enhance its leading aftersales service offering and customer experience with the launch of its Ford Service Promo for owners of Ford Focus, Ford Escape, Ford Everest and Ford Ranger units sold from 2004 to 2007 whose warranties have expired.

The Ford Service promotion includes a free oil filter to out-of-warranty Ford owners who will avail of the Periodic Maintenance Service during the month of May, as well as a 15 percent discount on all parts and labor.

"This new campaign will help further strengthen our leading cost-of-ownership equation and help our customers continue to feel the difference of today's Ford," added Krieger.
