The name Haima is a product of a 15-year partnership with Mazda, with its plant situated in Haikou City in Hainan, China; hence Haima. Haima established itself in the Philippines on January 27, 2010 in what was then called Haima AutoWorld Pampanga (now Haima Cars Pampanga) in San Fernando, Pampanga, and was soon followed by the establishment of its sales office in Dau Mabalacat (now Haima Cars Dau) on March 10 of the same year. The third quarter of 2011 saw the rise of the latest Haima dealerships in the North - Haima Cars Calasiao and Urdaneta in Pangasinan, while Haima Cars Baguio in Benguet.
