Haima sets itself apart from other China Brands

The Philippines has shown an improvement in the economy as it is currently the 12th largest economy in Asia and the 32nd in the world today. However, this doesn't exempt the country from the effects of the world's current economic crisis. This plight has left many people with the growing need to wise up when it comes to spending. A country like the Philippines is home to diverse markets, and Filipinos in general are very particular when it comes to getting the best value for their money even when it comes to buying cars.

The millennium has ushered in the development of automobiles, especially of China cars, that are now gaining presence in key countries. Since 2009, China is the largest automotive market in the world. China's automobile industry has been in rapid development since the early 90s. In 2009 alone, China was able to produce 13.79 million automobiles - 44% of which are local brands. This has, indeed, created a new market in the automotive industry vis-a-vis the varieties of vehicle models available in the market today.

However, while these numbers show much potential, the question of whether these cars can deliver or live up to their promise practically plays a big part in every Filipino car buyer's decision. China cars are generally perceived to be copying designs of other companies and have substandard products and insufficient services. With these factors in mind, are China cars really the main deal? Has any one of these brands come close to perfecting its technology?

The answer is Haima - a new breed of modern-day, cost-efficient road cars with models that feature distinct driving dynamics backed up with excellent user and safety amenities. Among the long list of brands making their names known worldwide, Haima is technically not new in the industry.

The name Haima is a product of a 15-year partnership with Mazda, with its plant situated in Haikou City in Hainan, China, hence Hai-Ma. As a state-owned passenger vehicle manufacturing complex under First Automobile Works (FAW), Haima Automobiles has developed into a large scale passenger manufacturing firm with domestically leading manufacturing facilities, employing over 10,000 staff members and 30,000 others in affiliated companies in all three of its bases in Haikou, Zhengzhou, and Shanghai.

Haima became the first built-up vehicle manufacturing enterprise in China to be awarded the ISO9000 standard certification in September 1994 as well as re-certifications with ISO2000 in 2003 and ISO/TS16949 in 2008. In addition, Haima engines meet Euro IV emission standard and are capable to be upgraded to Euro V. These certifications show that Haima ensures the quality of its products and services.

Furthermore, Haima invested in vehicle and engine manufacturing plants and 27 R&D centers, and it has played an important role in China's manufacturing industry, ranking among the Top 500 of China's industrial enterprises and Top 100 in China's machinery industrial enterprises.

Haima is poised to provide Filipino car buyers more affordable options with minivans, cars, MPVs, SUVs, and new energy vehicles that promise excitement, style, and comfort that go beyond good looks.
